The Vacation
Imagine heading out on a trip to some beautiful location that you have waited years to see. For the sake of conversation lets say you are heading to the mountains. The day finally arrives and your journey has begun. Naturally the closer you get the more the excitement and anticipation rises. Finally off in the distance you can see the amazing beauty of the mountains coming into view. As time passes and you get closer the view becomes breath takingly stunning. It is almost beyond what you had dreamed of over the last few months. When you arrive at the base of the mountains and you see the flowing streams and beautiful flowers that make up the landscape you are suddenly overcome with fear.
FEAR!!!!!!
Surely I cannot be here and I most assuredly am not worthy to enjoy God's awesome creation so in a moment of despair and desperation you turn around and head home.
Think about that for a few seconds. How many times in life have you been so close to enjoying part of God's creation and you stop dead in your tracks and turn back?
If you or I are ever going to be the person we were created to be we first have to believe that we are worthy to be in the kingdom of God.
The vacation is just a silly analogy but life is for real. You can live other peoples disappointments or you can shine in your own faith journey. God is going to turn you ten different directions in your lifetime and each one will make of you a better person. Next time you set out on a journey do not stop when the stunning beauty comes into focus. Do not doubt your worthiness for that is work of the devil. You deserve the best God has to offer and I say that because you are the best God created.
Now go out and make today better than it would have been by making someone elses day better than it was going to be.
The Movement has started and remember together with love we can change the world.
