Bridge over Troubled Waters

I think it is important to renew relationships. Consider if an old friend called you right now just to say hello and let you know how much you meant to him/her. During this short conversation he recounts how you always made him feel special and when others put him down you lifted him up. At the end of the call he reiterated that he was thinking about you and just wanted to say thanks for being the wonderful person you are.

Now tell me this, would your day be better? Of course it would. If that be the case look how easy it is to make someone else's day better. Send an email, text message, or make a phone call to someone you care about or possibly haven't spoken to in years. Let them know how much you value them as a person and a friend.

I find it rather ironic that the simple actions in life carry the most meaning and yet it seems easier to spread spiteful gossip then it is genuine care and love. What in our path has created this wall or barrier we struggle to get past? I have said many times in my writings how clear the sins of others are yet ours seem a bit cloudy. We are programmed to deceive by masking our own sins with the actions of others.

Now that we are alert go ahead and take the next step. Tell someone they are special. Forget the one action that has divided you with an old friend and remember the lifetime of joy instead. I promise in the end it will be  the times you made up and got back together that will mean so much more than the time apart. Like the song says "Like a Bridge over Troubled Waters I will ease your mind". Go ahead friends build that bridge.

peace and love
