Notebook of Life

What do you have written in your notebook of life? Keep in mind this is wisdom and lessons that only you have access too. Your life lessons can make you or break you. It is my hope that you have taken good notes so that your notebook of life is filled with the knowledge and wisdom that living life can bring.
I remember looking back at this photo, which was taken on a train trip from New Orleans to Memphis. I was reflecting on my little notebook of life. My thoughts were this, "how could I get where I want to go if I can't admit to myself where I am". Think about that for just a moment. Your notebook is filled with priceless information that can guide you to the promised land. BUT if you are not willing to admit that you are either lost or have no idea where you are then outside of shear luck you have little chance of getting where your fantasy mind attempts to take you.

I wrote earlier this week a reflection called "Exposed". The gist of the message was to expose what you really believe not what you say you believe. Expose yourself, not so much to the world around you, but to you. Find that winner that lives inside, grab the playbook of life, and expose the person that you truly are. Remove the fears of where you have been, stop looking over your shoulder to see if daggers are getting thrown at you. STOP the insanity and let today start the chapter in your notebook of life to where you get to become you.
I recall another moment in the notebook of life while traveling through Northern Idaho and Montana. I looked out at the awesomeness of nature realizing that life was mine to lose or take control of. The majestic view reminded me of just how powerful our mind can be if we simply admit the who that we are. God created each of us with the same beauty as he did when he created the mountains, flowers, streams, sunsets, and all other things that give you the awe factor. The problem is that we lose that awe inspiring feeling when we lose the person that lives in our bodies.

Your notebook of life contains a wealth of information. Read or retrace those life events and allow them to be a springboard up and not an anchor holding you down. You may not have been the best role model to yourself in the past but you can be in the future. We can't fix a blown light bulb friends all you can do is change it. If you leave the bad bulb in the lamp your room stays dark. When you change the bulb you have new and brighter light. The hope for today and tomorrow is all about change and your notebook has the words of wisdom that will bring about the change you need to admit where you are so you can get to where you want to go. Change your light bulb and believe me the fresh light will be brighter than ever. It will remove the darkness that YOU have allowed to control your life for far to long.

Wisdom is a powerful motivator and used properly can bring about peace and love. No matter how much bad is written in your play book of life just remember the final chapter is yet to be written. Be sure that the author of the rest of your life is you. Admit where you are, expose yourself to yourself. Take that notebook of life gain the wisdom and set sail for a tomorrow that yesterday you thought was impossible.

peace to you
