Go West

You have probably read about the California gold rush, the Oregon Trail, the Hoover Dam, and all the other fascinating things that brought people west. Go west young man was the advice that was given especially beings that it was the land of opportunity.

What is your "West" or your land of opportunity? Let's dream for just a moment and allow ourselves to go to the land of Plenty. Now the only way to make it in the land of Plenty is to take risk. Calculated risk possibly but none the less risk. Once you step out of that comfort zone and face the fears that had you captive in the land of Doubt you will finally see the rewards. Interesting things happen when the land of plenty starts to form in the distance. The ego self just might start to peer out and shield your slice of the pie so others can't experience what you hope too. The humble self will enjoy the fruits of discovery by sharing the knowledge all the while encouraging others to escape the land of Doubt.

Beings that this is nothing more than a silly dream I have to ask you this question. Are you a dreamer seeking the land of Plenty or are you wrought with fear stuck in the land of Doubt. It is ok to be honest with yourself. Stay with me a few more minutes on this journey so you will have the opportunity to step out and head west.

Recently I met a very talented person (name with held) that had experienced their fare share of ups and downs in life. Currently life seems to be coasting along in the right direction. Based on the past this person shared with me I will admit that they were certainly using their gifts in a much more positive way. My fear however was that this person still faces some self doubt as to what the future holds. Granted he/she is living for the moment which is good but instead of having an eye toward the future he/she is still looking back at yesterday. This will eventually place them in a self imposed prison that will make the mistakes of yesterday become the albatross of tomorrow.

In life we establish who we are by what we have done, when in reality we should place emphasis on what we are going to do. Life is not about yesterday it is about today and tomorrow. You see when we live for yesterday we miss the love of God and self, because what we have done pales in comparison to what we can do. There is no mountain to high for the dreamer. The gifts we are given we are given to bare. We were made for accomplishment. The only way to fulfill that which we have in us is to seek out the courage and faith to live our potential. So many people lock others in the land of doubt to make sure they control their destiny in a negative way. That in turn creates a locked fence around themselves that they struggle to see until it is to late.

I would like to share this and I do hope you pay attention here. What we have can be lost in the blink of an eye. We have no hold on where we are but what we do have is a say in where we are going. Never let yesterday's failures or shortcomings steer you into the dead end street called Lock Down Lane. You are free to live and free to fly. Go west and find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Never stop seeking the dreams of your youth. The power is not in where you were it is in where you are going. If you are breathing you can keep dreaming. Be sure in your quest to go West to embrace the people on the trail with love and acceptance. When the storms get tough and the mountains too steep those relationships you forge will push you to the top. Time is wasting let's get moving. I will help you and I hope in turn you will help me.

peace to you
Dale
