Conspiracy theory

What can I do today to make it better? In a time where emotions work on sensory overload due to all the outside stimulus we encountered it is so difficult to find quiet time to resolve issues as they arise. As unresolved issues mount our ability to deal with them in a rational way wanes in rapid fashion. Before you know it we are dodging the arrows and retreating rather than making an offensive move to make today better than yesterday.

In my overly simple little world I think we need to turn off the switch and allow our thoughts to catch up with our brain. If our tempers flare and words are said without time to reflect the end result will usually be a bad day today and tomorrow. Words do so much more harm than actions and they can't be taken back. Sure we can ask for forgiveness however the damage goes into the memory bank for life. As humans we enjoy total recall at the most inopportune times. I remember one time missing placing my keys, now this dates back 20 something years, however I often reminded that I ALWAYS LOSE MY KEYS. One time it happened but it is in the memory banks of others. Magnify that to the times when we really mess up, sure people say they move on and forgive but that is in the total recall column for life and will be used against you if in fact you make another mistake. These are the things that rob us of our creative humanity. We are taught to walk the tightrope, never make mistakes, be responsible, be ultra conservative. If this is the way the whole world chose to live I would not be writing to you on this computer because we would still be living in the stone age. If we are going to have great days we have to be willing to make mistakes. Our dreams depend on mistakes and lessons.

I often speak about the power of positive in positive out or negative in negative out. In our own lives we still have choices that we control. Those choices can be what we read, listen to, say or do. Each one has the power to influence our day in a positive or negative way. Think about the paranoia people use over government or political conspiracy theories. I have seen friendships broken, relationships destroyed, and people's own lives go into a state of reclusive militant behavior over something that is supposedly going to happen but hasn't happened yet. I used that example because we all know that person. It does not have to be political for conspiracy theories to wreck havoc on what could have been a great day. We allow ourselves to be convinced of bad news while working hard not to believe the good. Do not buy in to the propaganda displayed in the media hourly. Develop your own news that is worthy of occupying your mental space. When you become who you are it is amazing how your passions will find you.

What would happen if all the sudden we were the source of good news. Think about it, today call a friend and tell them how much they mean to you. Would that surprise them? Darn right it would and believe it or not it would make their day better. Would it make your day better? Indeed it would, kind acts have a strange way of reproducing and manifesting themselves into kinder acts. How cool is that.

Want to make your day better? Make someone else's day better and yours will be off to a great start. As the old saying goes "to have a friend you first must be a friend". Choose to make a difference in your own life by making a difference in someone else's. One last thing to kinda summarize some thinking. Encourage others do not discourage. Be in the pursuit of dreams not the developer of nightmares. Create hope in all that you do instead of stealing potential by spreading doomsday prophecy. Life is short for all of us so why live it any other way than the best you can.

peace to you
Dale
