LIVING

Some call it life wisdom, I just call it life. I enjoy asking questions that make people think a little deeper than they are accustomed to thinking. It isn't that it generates wisdom as much as it generates the possibilities of living life. I see so many people that have relegated themselves to the proverbial "going through the motions" until some fantasy ending occurs. That ending can mask itself in a myriad of ways but never the less what ever it looks like the result remains the same,  you are either simply breathing or you are LIVING.

Let's assume for a moment that you have lived your life trying as you may to rise to the expectations of others with little to no regard for finding the true self that is embedded inside you. Living in the shadows of others creates in you a life that is mutated and passed on for generations. Before you know a new norm exist to where everyone is trying to be someone other than the magnificent human being they were created to be. That is not living it is simply existing.

This week I  used some of my life questions to provoke thought in the hopes of opening up someone's mind waves to the possibility that there is more to life and truth than we imagined. Consider for a moment when you get up early and exercise or you get into a cleaning frenzy, the more you do the more energy your body seems to produce. Naturally there comes a point of diminishing returns but when you call on the body it will usually produce the energy desired for the task ahead. Now let's flip that over and look at what  happens to the body when you sit around on the couch or you have a lazy day at work. Your energy is drained and you could not do anything if you had too. Your body is settling for what you have set in motion which is nothing. I am not referring to days of rest, I am referring instead to lethargic lazy mind numbing times when you allow your body to shut down and stay down.

I use that silly yet very true analogy to bring you to this, we live in a world fixated on negative imagery and thinking. Whether it be friends gossiping, family bickering, or plastering social media with negative content, we live in a world that tears people down instead of lifting them up. With that we become mentally and emotionally down and next thing you know we are physically sick. This same exercise works in the opposite direction. Refuse to gossip, refuse to get involved in family squabbles, refuse to see the bad in others, and for gosh sake DO NOT constantly write negative post about how bad your life is on social media. Positive in generates positive out. This is not an exercise in futility it really works. A genuine smile can start your day and the day of someone else off in the right direction. One thing I know for sure is this, your life will have infinitely more meaning by being positive than it ever will being negative. It is impossible to live a happy positive life by constantly spewing negative remarks whether verbal or written. We create our own drama in life so I am asking you to stop creating it. I have a quote that is very apropos for this blog and it goes like this, "no man is a failure until he starts blaming others". Take stock of your life right now and see if you are where you want to be. Now look at who you are blaming for where you are.

If your life seems stuck in a rut one thing is for sure, the only way out is to do something different. Look in the mirror and asked this question, "if I were a commodity am I worth anyone else's money". Naturally you are not a commodity but if you were for sale would anyone be buying what you have to offer? Folks in life we are always selling who we are to others. We can either be a second rate someone else or a first class version of ourselves. Consider yourself to be a beautiful portrait that needs some touch up in order to create the highest value. Once touched up the awesome majestic features began to manifest themselves and before you know it a total life make over is under way. It doesn't take much to change your life but it does take something. The number one change is a desire to move your life in a positive direction. It will be the most difficult task you will ever undertake because you will be surrounded by people that are not changing which in turn will always try to pull you back to average.

Average thinking produces average results. Seeking opinions from average thinkers will produce more average thinking. To be different you have to choose to be you. Folks we are as individual as a snow flake yet we live in a world that seeks to make us "one size fits all". Like I said in the beginning I enjoy posing questions that make you seek out life wisdom and do some deep thinking. Look around you right now, matter of fact scroll through your facebook page and see what your life really looks like. Understand this as you do this exercise, your view of the world IS NOT the way the world really is. The world in which we live is a beautiful place filled with opportunity. The only ones that will grab it are the ones that have the courage to rise above average. You can choose to complain about the government, spend time looking for conspiracy theories, or getting caught up in negative jargon that adds pounds to your body and not years to your life OR you can choose to become the greatest version of you the world has ever seen. Stop the madness and start the gladness. Give peace a chance, give smiles a chance, spread goodwill and positive actions everywhere you go. Get up and get moving and let your body generate positive energy that will take you further than you have ever gone before. Basically after all this I have written I am trying to say to start living and stop dying.

peace to you
Dale
