When is a Miracle a Miracle

When is a miracle a miracle? We hear miracles in so many facets of life that it almost seems as though anything that happens outside the norm is classified as a miracle. Does that mean God intervened in the final shot of the game, or maybe God saved a soul in an accident even though others may have lost their lives. Is it an unexplained medical recovery that we give claim to it being a miracle? Or, maybe a miracle is simply in the eyes of the beholder.

I personally think a miracle is something that provides hope when the situation was once hopeless. I also think people provide miracles with the grace of God. Hope is the core to healing whether it be physical, spiritual, or emotional. Without hope no miracle will magically come along and change your life for the better. Let me keep going if I may, what in your life provides hope? The key ingredient to hope is faith and in order to have faith one must have love in their heart and you cannot have pure love in your heart unless you understand the totality of forgiveness and once you understand forgiveness the power of love gives hope a much needed boast and miracles seem to rise up and happen.

I HOPE you see the connection here, we cannot change our life by sitting still and waiting for God to make something happen. We have to take action or no action will be taken. You can either create the circumstances that control most aspects of your life or you can be the result of circumstances for not taking any action. Hope stems from action. When the world around seems hopeless, crawling into a hole and hiding will not produce a miracle that brings hope back into your life. Like the old saying goes "to have something you have never had, you must do something you have never done". That adage stands true when you are seeking a miracle to provide you hope.

The old way is not always the right way, and the wisdom of ages is not always the sage advice it once was. The truest of knowledge stems from the art of peace and love. All actions of love are actions of peace and once we understand that miracles are not far behind. Please in your search for the unexplained do not selfishly seek that which robs hope from others. If someone has to lose for your miracle to be provided then no action of God was ever there. That is selfish behavior on your part. Think about that for a moment, if you give thanks to God for sparing your life or the life of a loved one all the while others lost their life, that is no miracle.

Be a hope believer, teach others to see the awe of life through your actions. Smile when others frown, love when others hate, forgive where others judge, and lend a hand when others walk away. What I am saying is that God works and lives through each of us and in order for hope to provide miracles we must be responsible for taking the first step toward love.

There is no doubt in my mind that you desire a life of love and acceptance. In that life you hope that miracles occur that keep you moving in the right direction. One of the most awesome things about our humanity is that we were born of a loving creator that has given us the tools to provide hope and miracles to others which in turn will provide them for us. The key is to believe in the power of love. Live for today with expectations of tomorrow. Learn from yesterday while forgiving and releasing all that is or was holding you back. Your life is waiting for you to live it. Your life is waiting for you to be the greatest miracle God ever created. The question becomes, what are you waiting for?

peace and love
