Caitlyn Jenner

A few weeks ago I wrote a blog about Bruce Jenner, now I would like to follow up with one called "Caitlyn Jenner. This blog isn't as much about the person as much as it is about life in general. Even though I realize much of what Bruce did was about money the biggest reason for his life transformation was self identity. It is a confusing phenomenon as to why we were all created so different. Just take a look around as you walk though a large crowd and you will see, yet not understand God's handiwork. You will see people of all colors and nationalities. You will see people seemingly normal, some crippled, some born deformed, some male, some female, but what you don't see is what I want to write about. You don't see the person behind the face.

We see people, we see humans, but we can't see the heart, soul, and struggles behind the smiles or tears. We are quick to judge yet slow to forgive however when we are the perpetrators of a wrong we expect quick forgiveness. As you absorb that I would like to interject some interesting thoughts about life. We should all learn to be grateful for the life we have as we live it. It is imperative that we stop trying to live our lives through the eyes of others and we should not place the key to our personal happiness in someone else's pocket. This is our one and only life to live which is why I salute Caitlyn Jenner for having the courage to be the person she was created to be.

I realize that my position is not popular among the Christian Pharisee's of the world. But I do believe it is popular among the Christians of the world that follow the model of which Christ gave us and that is to love one another. By the way that is the second commandment. Hey look, let's be serious a minute. There is so much emotional distress in our society right now. It is as if everyone is either in a crisis or coming out of a crisis. Divorce rates are skyrocketing as are the number of people leaving traditional Christian churches. Basically we cannot use the illusion that we have it right and people that do things outside of the so called norm have it wrong.

Think about this for a minute, "people don't want the real truth because it would mess up their negative illusions that they love to share". Other words we love to focus our attention on all the negatives that the media spreads. We buy into the pseudo information that guides our lives in ways that pushes away from love and more into bitterness and division. Hence the public metamorphosis of Bruce to Caitlyn. It has become a very polarizing issue in society circles. Some bash what he has done while some embrace. At the end of the day it is incumbent upon us to not bash what we hate but to promote what we love. I wonder how we would truly feel if we could just live in the mind of someone facing the decision that Bruce faced?

Well let me share a secret with you. Many people, you may be one, face all kinds of life identity crisis' that they feel as though they can't be honest about. Most people say that they want to hear and they want to help and that they will not judge, BUT GUESS WHAT, they do judge, they do offer bitter gossip and that further erodes the self image the person facing the crisis has. Think about that please. God created us all unique but more than that we were endowed with the seeds of greatness. The only way those seeds can grow is for them to be watered with love. I can only imagine what our world would be like if we all chose to love that which we do not understand. The world is not all bad, matter of fact I bet if we knew the truth, which we don't, we would find that 90% of the world is GOOD.

I think it has been a multitude of things over the years that have brought us to this place of harsh judgement and condemnation. I also believe we will find love and healing in the same place. There is a wonderful renaissance coming through our young adults that is so refreshing. I am seeing them question traditional church positions that create division and move more toward a spiritual faith that focuses on love and unity. I am also seeing amazing advances in technology due to people bucking the norm and believing in what was once considered unbelievable. I am also seeing in small pockets people, organizations, and foundations stepping up to heal broken hearts and wounded souls. The ones that believe in peace and love will in fact over take the ones that continue to spread hate and bigotry. I am jumping on the bandwagon of the peace train. Why? Because I believe God created us in such a way that love will always win out over war. Just look inside your own life. What causes you the most depression, sickness, and bitterness? It is our inability to accept that which we do not understand. We stand by values that have no place in our world. We stand by opinions that dig the valleys deeper instead of bridging the gaps.

I do not understand what Mr Jenner faced in his life but I do know the demons I have faced as you know yours. I hope as we see more people that have the courage to face who they are that we will also see a society that embraces them. Maybe just maybe when we come together we can start to lower suicide and depression rates. Love truly does comfort the deepest wounds, we just have to give it a chance. I hope and pray that we will dig deep and find the strength to believe that who we really are is wonderful. God created us as his greatest miracle and we should be proud to accept that miracle as our gift to the world. That also means that we must accept that everyone else is a miracle too. WOW we truly are one body sharing the same land. Amazing what all we can accomplish when we put down our weapons of hate and pick up our hearts of gold.

peace to you
Dale
