Do you have the adventure and desire to live? Not just breath, but to really live. It has been said that most people die at the age of 25 yet they aren't buried until they are 75 or beyond. What is it that caused them to die at such a young age?
When I give thought to this I realize how sad, profound, and real this truly is. As the years pile on and the sands in the hour glass keep falling, it should be evident that all we have is NOW. Let's put a call to action into our RIGHT NOW. As you start reflecting on what is being said here it is important to note that you and only you can change your life story. You are the star of the show, you are not part of the supporting cast. This is your curtain call, your moment on the stage, the spotlight is bright ONLY when you clean the dirt from the lenses. Bitterness muddies the water, yet love is an amazing cleanser. What I mean is bitterness or love towards yourself.
Let me ask you a few questions as you ponder whether or not you are dead or alive:
What about the book you never wrote
the marathon you never ran
the dreams you never gave life too
the friend you never forgave
the business you never started
the relationship you never mended
or the person you failed to acknowledge in the mirror
Well are you living or have you already died?
Yes this is about you, it's your life remember. I know there are some deep wounds hiding behind that smile. I know the arrogance you sometimes display is really a mask for the fear that resides in your heart. I know that the pseudo self everyone else sees is but a shell of the real person hiding in your skin. I know that you feel hopeless at times. I am writing RIGHT NOW to whisper gently into your ear that there is hope. You are going to walk on to that stage and claim your spot in this wonderful life filled with UNENDING LOVE AND AMAZING GRACE.
There is time, I know that because you are still breathing. Now we have to take that breath and bring it to life. It is never too late to become what you dreamed of being. All the answers are right before you right now. Here's the question, do you want to live? Yes, I know you do. Let's work together to help each other move past yesterday's mistakes. Together RIGHT NOW we have the power to unbind our fellow man so as to fuel their desire to bring the dead to life.
You can't find what you aren't searching for. Your soul is on fire for life, but you have to stoke the flame with a burning desire to LIVE. Seek and you shall find, yes it is true. Risk the adventure, gain the reward. Forget the mistake, remember the lesson.
Put God in your RIGHT NOW situation. It doesn't require church, doctrine, rubrics, or religion, it simply requires you to understand that you were born of a loving God endowed with the seeds of greatness. No person on earth has the power to be better at being you than YOU. If you want to write a book, start writing. If you want to give life to your dreams, start dreaming again and believe that you are enough to make those dreams come true. If you feel there is a relationship that needs mending, extend your heart and hand to let healing begin. The only way this can happen is for you to open your eyes and see that God is on the sidelines ready to get in the game. It's up to you to accept the invitation to live. Today isn't the day to attend your funeral. You are in the RIGHT NOW and right now you are alive.
