Random thoughts
This morning as I sit here reflecting back on all the comments I have received this week I decided to write just some totally random thoughts.
Why is it so important for people to share their interpretation of the Bible with vigor yet have no interest in hearing yours? What makes them so right and you so wrong? Makes me wonder what you could learn if you gave an ear to hear what the other person thinks. Hmmmm I think the Bible calls that being wise.
Is your expectation of self higher or lower than others expectations of you? Better yet is other peoples expectations of you higher or lower than their expectation of self? Give that some thought.
Are you the person you portray? OK no one really is I get that so the question becomes are you trying to be the person you portray? Remember that can be good or bad.
The most comments I get in a week's time always relates to religion so I have to throw out this random thought. Wonder why so many people want others to notice that they are religious yet deep inside they have no faith? Another thing I hear frequently as it relates to religion, why do some people think that stoning others (emotionally and spiritually) is an act of Christ? WOW if Christ were as mean and cruel as some so called Christians we would not have Christianity would we?
Final random thought
Today you have an opportunity to make a difference in someone's life and possibly even your own. I hope that you decide that the difference you make is going to be one of love not hate. Your hand reaching out or your simply smile and act of forgiveness just might be the edge someone needs to get through the day. We have no idea what life looks like through someone else's eyes so please show an act of kindness today. Tell someone that they matter. For the record and just so you know YOU MATTER TOO. Today you will be exactly where you need to be to decide where you need to go. Give love a chance, give God a chance, and most of all give you a chance.
