Obstacles
Here is a question I got yesterday. It was from a gentleman in Canada. The question is "how do you keep going when the obstacles in life are to heavy to handle".Here are my thoughts
Did you know our bodies were designed with a self healing mechanism built in? Think about it, if you cut your finger you are 100% confident it will heal and that same confidence extends to the majority of life ailments. That same self healing resides in the emotional and spiritual realm as well. The question becomes when faced with a serious obstacle is, do I have hope? Then I believe the question becomes do I want to live? The final question is this, why do I want to live?
Hope is the essence and basis of all self healing. If you have no hope or faith that you can get past a particular crisis it is doubtful that you can. In the search for hope you absolutely have to find yourself worthy of the healing graces we have inside of us. I am not concerned about the obstacle you face whether self created or a victim of circumstances, what I am concerned about is your ability to rise up and push through it.
In your quest to overcome I hate to say this but you will struggle to find much help outside of yourself. There will be people that say "call me if I can help" and then pray you do not call. There will be others that will go to great lengths to make sure the obstacle that is weighing you down crushes you. Then there will be the few that extend a hand of hope and will ride the storm back to calm waters with you. The key however in finding the hope is believing it exist. Get over what you have done and move on to what you can and will do.
Do you want to live and why? Tough questions I know but by golly wow I am amazed at how many people have placed themselves in solitary confinement and have chosen to live out the remainder of life in the mere shadows of their former self. This is not living. If we are breathing we have hope to overcome even life's toughest and heaviest obstacles.
If you give in now all the hopes and dreams you had are shattered. Even bigger if you do not live your potential you are stopping others from living theirs. See in the big scheme of God's great big kingdom it is not just about you, it is what you have to do for others. In order to do for others you have to dig deep and do for yourself. Yes I know that is a mouthful but give it thought and it will make sense.
You are down but you are not out. You committed a big sin yet you are still here. Your family and friends have rightfully lost trust in you yet God still needs you. Remember the same talents you used to commit sin can and will be used for the building of the kingdom. You have been to the school of life and now it is time to apply your skills in a positive direction. Your school debt is huge but you will pay it off by the good you will do.
Come on get up, find the hope to prove that there is a reason for your existence. Let go of the old and in with the new. Others may not have faith in you but God does and trust me others eventually will.
Are you worth a second chance? Damn right you are. You are worth a third and fourth chance too. Do you want to live again? Then believe in that self healing God put in you from birth. Trust that the healing has already begun. The hope and momentum are building in the positive direction now so catch the wave and strut your stuff. Be sure along the way to pick up a few others that have fallen by the way side. Let them know there is hope. Can you do it? I say yes you can.
