Train Wreck

The train is on the track with a full head of steam and it is headed straight for a wreck. If your life is like a train remember it runs on a track that can be difficult to get off of. You can slow it down and hopefully bring it to a halt but it is none the less on a track. Be very careful placing your life on such a regimented track that leaves you no room for adjustment.

She was only 40 when it happened. She had convinced her family to invest everything they had into the company. Luckily for a few years the return was good and things seemed to be headed in the right direction. When the economy shifted and their product lost it's appeal she was not in a position to adjust the offering so she stayed on track in the hopes it would all work out. Sure this is a business story but in the end it literally wiped out the dreams, retirements, and investments of 100's of people. The problem she would later recall was that she put the company on a track that had no choice but to crash someday. She left no room for change and in the end her health failed and she ended up dying of depression as well as a broken heart.

How much adjustment do you have in your life? There is no way to lead a productive life if the world is black and white. You see that would imply that all discoveries have already happened and there is nothing left to invent. It would also mean that God gave all of his talent and dreams to the people that lived before us. Honestly in my humble opinion the world has very little black and white. We are actually surrounded by gray area which means we have everything left to discover if we invest our talents and not bury them deep in the ground. I often read the parable of the talents. I love how God rewarded the people that invested and cast out the one that buried what little he had. You see we are endowed with the seeds of greatness, we were built for accomplishment. God was so gracious to create it in us a mind and heart that properly trained can change the world.

Do not place your life on some track that only gives you limited views of the potential you still have. It is good to have a plan for your life no doubt. It is obviously smart to save for your retirement and not spend outside your ability to pay. It is also smart to allow your God given mind to explore the possibilities of the world around you. Stop the train wreck before it happens. It is time to let your seeds grow and your flowers bloom. The best of you is still in there and it is time to get it out. If your past has your train on a collision course well give it to God and he will help you get off that track and on to better things. Let's say together that nothing is going to stop us from being the best we can be. I am in to win how about you.

peace to you
Dale
