We are one

I have now written three reflections and not published a single one. After two hours of writing what I now think was negative I decided to write what is really important which is something positive.

I am going to ask everyone if only for a day to try and see the good in others. Avoid office gossip and instead try to understand that every person has a story. If someone cut you off in traffic you may never know but it could be because they were trying to get to the hospital to see a loved one. The person you spoke to while walking down the street and they ignored you, that could be because they just received some bad news that they are trying to deal with.

Try hard to spread an act of love and kindness instead of hate and bitterness. Just because someone is different than you does not mean they are better or worse. God created our differences not so we could be divided but that we could be united. You see we are all human even though we are male, female, gay, straight, black or white. Our differences are what make us one. As St Paul says "we are many parts but all one body". We have to share the differences of those around us. It is us that spread division and bigotry or love and acceptance. You see we can have others join our platform and hate a particular group and when we do all we are doing is mocking the kingdom of Christ just like the soldiers did that led him to the cross.
Jesus came that we may love not hate. He came that we could accept not judge. He came that we could draw people unto him and not push them away.

If your actions lead people away from Christ I would say that you need to take a close look at your own faith and spiritual journey.

peace to you
Dale
